MEDIASNIFFER PRO · UNSIGNED BUILDS

Security and third-party software

Available desktop downloads are unsigned. Each artifact lists the engine and package checks actually completed. Full clean-machine and browser certification has not been completed.

Product boundaries

MediaSniffer Pro supports authorized media downloading. DRM, license-server extraction, stolen sessions, and access-control bypass are unsupported. Standard AES-128 HLS is handled separately from DRM.

Local communication

The extension communicates with a restricted native host. The bridge authenticates to a local desktop process. The desktop renderer is sandboxed and has no direct Node access. User inputs and native commands are validated.

Release verification

The owner has selected unsigned desktop distribution. Packages are labelled accordingly. Published checksums and Ed25519 release metadata verify file integrity; they do not provide Apple Developer ID or Windows publisher trust. Stable-release certification still requires the full platform validation matrix. Desktop updates are explicit. This website does not ask you to disable system security or install enterprise browser policies.

Dependencies and licenses

The project uses Electron, yt-dlp, ffmpeg/ffprobe, mux.js, sql.js, and other packages. Redistribution obligations depend on the specific binaries and enabled codecs. Release bundles must include their applicable notices, license texts, and source information. See the release documentation before redistribution.
